Gene Mapping Interactive

Genes that sit close together on the same chromosome tend to be inherited together, and crossing over during meiosis occasionally separates them. The further apart two genes are, the more often that happens, so recombination frequency can be used to work out their order and spacing along the chromosome. Here you walk through that reasoning with guided problems.
